    Celebrating 15 years of results. The Cable Technician is responsible for installing cable TV and high-speed data/digital services inside and outside of residential homes.

    Qualification for Cable Installation Technicians

    • 1-2 years experience preferred but not required will train
    • Previous direct customer service experience preferred
    • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
    • Have a valid driver’s license with No Major Violations on MVR in the last 5 years

    Responsibilities

    • Performs upgrades, downgrades, pre-wiring and dwelling installations
    • Educates customers regarding their existing and new services and promote Client’s other services Installs drops, outlets, converters, cable modems, digital terminals and other cable devices
    • Measures, records and determines cable signals
    • Completes paperwork accurately, reports and records work order status updates
    • Prepares for daily work assignment by requisitioning equipment and supplies from warehouse and stocking vehicle as needed
    • Maintains company truck and other equipment per service requirements and safety guidelines
    • And any other duties and responsibilities as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather (i.e. snow, rain, wind, etc.) if required
    • Must be able to work in various environments/settings with moderate to loud noise levels
    • Must be able to drive and operate a motor vehicle for long periods of time

    Physical Requirements

    • Must be able to carry, climb up and down, and maneuver an 80 pound extension ladder
    • Must be able to sit, stand, stop, crouch, reach and lift for long periods of time
    • Must be able to use full-range of motion in fingers, hand and wrists to operate necessary tools/equipment
    • Must be able to distinguish different colors of wire
    • Must utilize proper safety equipment at all times
