And…we are looking for a Warehouse Manager who can be a hands on supervisor that coordinates and/or performs the receiving and material handling responsibilities in the warehouse.

Job Summary:

The manager will be responsible for the completion of inventory cycle counts and accuracy, back-order filling, as well as the movement of materials in and out of the facility including the coordination of freight movement and carrier selection. This candidate will work to manage within budgeted goals and provides leadership, guidance and training in all warehouse functional areas, including shipping, receiving, warehousing, cycle counting, and material handling as well as equipment, software, and company policies and procedures. Processes transactions utilizing manual and/orRF technology and/or by identifying items on a paper pick ticket according to bin location, part number, and/or description, or other method used within facility.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, oversee, supervise and participate in storeroom operations
  • Approve requisitions, analyzes work orders, etc.
  • Operate forklift
  • Supervise computer operations
  • Brief staff on materials to be loaded or on assembly of items to be delivered
  • Check with staff for changes that could affect delivery schedule; make schedule adjustments as needed
  • Review paperwork from deliveries to determine if additional work requirements will occur
  • Check documents for thoroughness and completeness and prepare additional documentation when necessary
  • Initiate all requests for replenishment of stock
  • Oversee the receipt and dispersal of materials entering or leaving warehouse; help handlers with this task when required
  • Take periodic inventories and participate in monthly inventory program
  • Perform related tasks as required

Qualifications

  • Experience in the telecommunications industry
  • General knowledge of modern warehouse and inventory practices
  • Familiar with all types of materials and parts required for OSP Cable Installations a plus but not required
  • Knowledgeable of the applicable standard grades and qualities of equipment, materials and supplies used in warehousing
  • Capable in preparing and maintaining accurate records
  • Able to plan and supervise the work of others
  • Skilled with establishing and continuing good working relationships with associates
  • Proficient in preparing reports and upholding accurate records
  • Well versed in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other basic computer functions
