  • Overview

    Bear Communications is looking for a Financial Analyst. The successful candidate will report directly to the Market Controller with training and guidance from the corporate accounting team. They will work cooperatively with other Accounting, Administrative, and Construction personnel to quickly and efficiently audit, monitor, and track all aspects of billing related project construction. This position is responsible for cost and expense management reduction analysis and provides recommendations to insure profitability.


    • Preparing work to be processed by gathering, sorting, organizing and recording data, information, and documents.
    • Create, update and maintain spreadsheets tracking various departmental metrics.
    • Prepare reports by collecting and analyzing information for Construction Coordinators and Manager as needed.
    • Responsible for cost and expense management reduction analysis
    • Work closely with other departments in order to complete projects and assist construction in meeting deadlines.
    • Gather information from and for the Construction Coordinators and Manager including assisting in creating work schedules, tracking material, processing invoices and work order closing.
    • Provide support to office coordinators and other duties as requested by the Manager.
    • Perform data analysis
    • Provides recommendations to insure profitability
    • Assist with internal and external reporting requirements
    • Additional support to the Finance team, as needed
    • Performs other duties as assigned.


    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience required.
    • 3 years + experience in Engineering, Construction, Operations or related department preferred.
    • Strong Accounting and analytical skills
    • Ability to collaborate with persons and groups at all levels in order to bring together ideas, adapt as needed, and accomplish results
    • Strong communication, analytical and time management skills
    • Ability to navigate calmly through change and rapid corporate growth
    • Commitment to accuracy, integrity and attention to detail
    • Knowledge of MS Excel (Advanced User), MS PowerPoint and MS Access
    • Knowledge of budgets, accounting and financial closing of Engineering Projects as they relate to the material tracking and project management application. Strong communication skills and ability to communicate across departments and groups
    • The ability to prioritize daily, weekly or monthly tasks as well as handle multiple projects at once.
    • QuickBooks experience preferred
    • Construction and/or telecommunications experience preferred but not required
