    Underground Utility Supervisor


    Bear Communications is looking for an Underground Utility Supervisor to pre field underground cable installations, complete quality control checks and assist crews in the field.

    • Pre field jobs ahead of crews, verifying locates are complete and obstacles are identified
    • Work closely with manager, dispatcher and crews
    • Meet with home owners to go over concerns and make changes as needed
    • Complete quality control checks
    • Operate vehicle, power tools and equipment safely
    • Complete required paperwork
    • Assist teams as needed to resolve issues, insure work is completed and promote team work
    • Complete vehicle inspections monthly
    • Resolve issues with client and homeowners
    • Other duties as assigned



    • Computer Skills (excel, word and office).
    • Irrigation systems.
    • Cable experience.
    • Ability to prioritize.
    • Ability to multitask.
    • Good customer service skills.
    • Familiar with trenchers, asphalt saw, tampers, missiles and their maintenance.
    • Familiar with underground utility construction.



    • Must be 18 years of age.
    • Ability to work outside in all types of weather
    • Ability to lift 80 lbs
    • Capable of walking, sitting, standing and kneeling for periods of time
    • Skilled with using hand tools such as a pick and shovel
    • Successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check, drug screen and a driver’s license check
    • Familiar with county and city requirements for working in right of ways and easements
